Ethylene-Propylene rubbers make up a family of synthetic elastomers characterized by excellent chemical and thermal resistance. EPDM materials are most commonly used in applications involving solvents, acids, and other aggressive chemicals. EPDM has very poor compatibility with most mineral and petroleum based oils and is seldom used in those applications.
